Boy Hit by Truck in Pakistan
This young boy was brought unconscious to Emergency.
He was walking when he was "side-swiped" by a truck, causing massive degloving of skin of right upper body and internal chest injuries. His right upper limb was badly mangled but still attached to the body. He died shortly due to injuries to the heart, major blood vessels and lungs.
In vehicles or trains etc. which are of large mass/weight it is not necessary to be hit head on or run over to cause death. Due to the masses involved as well as the fragility of the human body compared to heavy vehicles/trains a simple touch or soft impact is sufficient to cause death as can be seen in this case.
